for Air Design
CaseIH – SDX
No-Till Drill
In
the spring of 2006, CaseIH SDX owners were facing difficulty
with soil conditions causing build up on the disks. Air
Design went to work to solve the problem, after receiving a
call from Jim Lilleberg of Titan Machinery in Fargo, ND.
The solution was the AD21080, a quick and easy to install
scraper that needs no holes drilled, no fasteners, and
features Air Design’s long lasting Tungsten Carbide edge for
positive disk cleaning. The unique bracket simply uses 2
washers and a bolt, and you are back in the field saving
time and money.
Specifically designed products for specific needs — that is
the goal of Air Design, a small U.S. company that
specializes in planter scrapers, among other things. Air
Design is long known for their original design of scrapers
featuring quick easy installs. Air Design’s leading edge
ability includes the wear resistance of Wearcarb™
"Wearcarb™ consists of parts made of solid cemented carbides
that require great resistance to abrasive wear. This is the
type of wear that occurs when two parts rub together. In
some wear applications tungsten carbide outlasts wear
resistant steel alloys by a factor of 100 to 1."
Larry Johnson owner of 3 SDX drills had this to say
following his experience with Air Design. “Equally
impressive as how they performed (AD21080 scrapers) was the
experience of working with Air Design on this. They had
little time to design this scraper before we needed them,
yet made sure that a quality scraper was delivered. I don't
know how you could improve this scraper. It works and should
be made as an option on the SDX Drill."
The AD21080 retails for $34.95 each. For more information on
